A Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist Here to Guide You

I am committed to making a difference in the lives of children, adolescents, and families. As a licensed and Board Certified Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist and an Associate Professor of Clinical Child Psychology,  I conduct clinical research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and provide clinical training and supervision in clinical child psychology. I also provide clinical services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families in my private practice.

My clinical training emphasized the use of evidence-based practices in a flexible and culturally-appropriate manner. My approach to clinical services aims to integrate the latest scientific evidence, my clinical experience, and the values and preferences of my clients and their families.

Please note that I only offer appointments on Saturdays, meaning  that our appointments will not conflict with school activities or with a busy family life during the week. I look forward to working with you and your family.

Guiding Your Family in Understanding and Addressing Your Concerns

Perhaps your child is having difficulty. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer guidance, support, and evidence-based recommendations. First, we will work to ensure that we all understand your family's goals and preferences and I will provide my recommendations, based on the available evidence and my clinical experience. As a team, we will develop a shared understanding of what the concern is, how it came to be, and what we should do about it. I have the tools and professional experience to help your family get back on track.

Your family's well-being is my ultimate concern. My approach to clinical services aims to integrate the latest scientific evidence, my clinical experience, and the values and preferences of my clients and their families. I first develop an understanding of each client that considers their challenges in the context of their resilience. I strive to build a strong working alliance with clients and to work collaboratively with my clients to develop an individualized treatment plan. I believe that therapy should be time-limited and goal-oriented, and that treatment progress should be monitored on an ongoing basis. In this manner, helping clients attain their goals is the highest priority. Take a look at the services I offer and get in touch with me to discuss your family's needs. .

Please note that services are only offered on Saturdays

A Happier, Healthier You

In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to understand the different factors that contributed to your concerns and to use evidence-based practices to address them. I help children and adolescents understand and “re-frame” their concerns while learning valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. I will also work closely with families to develop an improved understanding of their child while learning new ways to support them.

Therapy sessions are billed at a rate of $185 per 50-minute session. The initial intake evaluation session is $250.

Helping You Understand

Are you concerned about your child's mental health? Are you looking to know whether your child might have a psychological disorder or to develop a better understanding of your child's mental health?

My comprehensive diagnostic evaluations are designed to use evidence-based tools to clarify diagnoses, inform treatment planning, and provide recommendations about appropriate services. A comprehensive evaluation is tailored to answer your specific questions. Typically, information is collected from caregivers, children and adolescents, and schools. Depending on the complexity of the question to be answered, the evaluation may include review of records, clinical interviews, observations, and relevant assessment measures and tests.

Evaluations are billed at an hourly rate of $250, with evaluations typically costing from $1000-$1250. Please call to discuss your specific needs and to receive an estimate of the total cost.
